COVID-19 NEWS

Toledo Legion Br#475 would like to thank our community for their continued support throughout this pandemic period. It has not been business as usual and we appreciate your patience  as we roll through the ever changing guidelines and rules.

As you check out various items in our webpage, please note that capacity numbers are currently adjusted to Ontario's rules for Meeting and Event Spaces which is 50% for indoor and 75% for outdoor events.

Those attending indoor events are required to show proof of 2nd dose vaccination and picture identification. Masks must be worn at indoor events at all times except when eating or drinking.

We have a safety plan in place and are diligent in disinfecting our public spaces. We provide hand sanitizer for your use to help us keep everyone safe. Please keep 2 meters apart for everyone's safety.

Welcome to Our New Backyard!

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #475 was granted funding through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Fund in the Spring of 2021. Changes in business practices have brought new ways for our Legion to operate during the pandemic and into the future. We are grateful to the Foundation for providing funds for us to enhance our facility enabling us to expand our services for our community with additional choices for events.

Toledo Legion recently completed an exciting renovation project in our outdoor horseshoe pit area. We can now provide a venue for events and social times with plenty of space for people to mingle outdoors. This area can be rented for family get togethers, weddings, outdoor sports, and small music venues. We offer a deck and patio with seating and umbrellas, and a heated gazebo. It is easily accessible from the main hall and washrooms.

We look forward to using this space in the Spring as the pandemic guidelines ease.

This project would not have been possible without the Foundation’s financial support. We hope this new venue will encourage our community to come together again for some fun and share their special occasions with us.

The Toledo Legion #475 is grateful for financial help from

Farm Credit Canada AgriSpirit Funds

who provided a grant for a portion of the purchase and installation of new furnaces which the Legion desperately needed.

This grant is made available for non profit organizations to enhance lives or contribute to sustainability in a rural community.

The new heating/cooling system has now been installed.
